Miller Systems Delivers Innovative New Computerworld Event Websites

Unveils New Sites for Mobile & Wireless World, Storage Networking World and Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference

, April 8, 2003 - Miller Systems, one of Boston’s premier technology consulting firms specializing in web engineering and IT consulting, today unveiled new websites for three IT leadership events owned and produced by Computerworld, a long-term Miller Systems’ customer. Updated websites developed by Miller Systems—Mobile & Wireless World, Storage Networking World and the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference— include integrated subscriber and event registration applications and improved traffic and visitor analytics.

“With appealing site design and easy to digest content, we were able to help attract new visitors to each of these Computerworld event properties,” said Seth Miller, Founder, President and CEO of Miller Systems, Inc. “Moreover, we were able to help Computerworld convert these visitors into thousands of opt-in subscribers for content destination web sites, and in turn, drive an increase in online event registrations. Finally, demonstrating the link between site content, traffic and email marketing, the improved analytics we implemented helped Computerworld to showcase the resulting increased awareness of event sponsors’ products and services, and ultimately, enabled them to increase sponsor revenue.”

Delivering a cutting-edge suite of offerings across print, online and events, Computerworld is the largest IT media network in the world. Having developed the Internet’s first secure, web based e- commerce event registration system in 1996, Miller Systems has been leveraging its experience to develop and market custom publishing and event properties for Computerworld for over two years. Miller Systems worked on each of the aforementioned events, crafting an overall framework for the development and integration of all event related content, registration and reporting applications.

To power each site’s registration process, Miller Systems employs a mature, proven e-commerce event registration system which was acquired by TSCentral, a tradeshow resource company. In addition, Miller Systems deployed its own dataDriver ePush marketing communications engine and integrated it with each web property for the creation and management of opt-in, content-rich email campaigns and surveys. What’s more, Miller Systems implemented Webtrends Intelligence Suite to corroborate the results of each property’s email marketing efforts with event site traffic patterns, collecting important subscriber- based market intelligence for sponsors. Finally, to keep all systems scalable and running reliably, Miller Systems selected, configured, and currently manages each property’s necessary hardware and software in its own collocated hosting environment.

Miller concluded, “Our number one objective for Miller Systems has always been, and remains, to maintain long-term client relationships by delivering excellent results that meet clients’ cost-saving or revenue-generating requirements. Our relationship with Computerworld is an excellent example of how we continue to exceed client expectations and provide valuable strategic counsel and flawless tactical execution time and again.”
