Priority Healthcare leveraged Miller Systems’ innovative design, development and hosting services to enhance and re-launch each of these patient education sites.

In related news, Miller Systems was recognized for its work on MSNeighborhood.com in the Fall 2004 World Wide Web Health Awards. The site received a Gold Award for Patient Education Information in the Pharmacy/Drug Store category. The World Wide Web Health Awards program recognizes the best health information Web sites for consumers and professionals.

More specifically, visitors to each neighborhood receive valuable, frequently updated content. Additionally, they can participate in “Ask A Nurse” message boards and live chats, attend events, and subscribe to newsletters and email updates.

Having collaborated in the past on other major community disease websites, including FertilityNeighborhood.com and HepatitisNeighborhood.com, Miller Systems and Priority Healthcare’s internal IT team worked closely to determine development support and hosting requirements for each of the sites. Both MS Neighborhood and PH Neighborhood now utilize a variety of innovative and industry-standard technologies including RedDot Solutions’ Professional CMS, and Microsoft’s .NET and SQL Server. Many of the applications Miller Systems designed and developed in earlier Neighborhood websites were also leveraged in MS Neighborhood and PH Neighborhood, including member management and broadcast e-mail capabilities, powered by Miller Systems’ award-winning dataDriver ePush technology.
