Miller Systems Selected as a 2003 MIMC Awards Finalist

Fertility Neighborhood Recognized as One of New England’s Best

Miller Systems, one of Boston’s premier technology consulting firms specializing in web engineering and IT consulting, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the healthcare category for The 8th Annual MIMC Awards. Miller Systems was recognized for its work in developing the educational patient website Fertility Neighborhood. Held annually by the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council, the MIMC Awards recognize excellence in the creation of interactive technologies designed, produced or developed in New England. The MIMC Awards has been cited as one of the most prestigious awards competitions for New England’s interactive industry and the largest technology awards showcase in the country.

“This year’s MIMC Award submissions attracted some of the most impressive interactive projects and technology applications in the industry today,” said Leslie Cushing, Executive Director of MIMC.  “We are delighted to showcase the innovative work that is being produced in the region.”

Fertility Neighborhood is a leading destination for individuals seeking information and support for infertility. The site is managed by Priority Healthcare and its subsidiary, Freedom Drug, the nation’s number one pharmacy for infertility. As a national specialty pharmacy dealing in complex, chronic disease categories, patient education is vital to successful outcomes. The site represents a natural and important extension of the company’s educational mission with in-depth, yet easy-to-understand educational information about all clinical aspects of infertility–from its causes and diagnosis to the range of options available for its treatment. The site also covers the psychosocial aspects of the condition–offering advice and information on stress, mental health, marital relations, and patients’ financial concerns.

“We are honored to be selected as a finalist for the third year in a row at the MIMC Awards,” said Seth Miller, President, CEO and Founder, Miller Systems, Inc. “We find ourselves in excellent company and are delighted to be competing with some of New England’s best and brightest.”

Miller Systems will be recognized with the other finalists in the category of healthcare at a gala awards ceremony attended by 1,000 of the region’s top technology and business professionals.  Winners will be announced at the ceremony in the Boston Copley Place Marriott on Tuesday, October 21, 2003

The 2003 MIMC Awards is sponsored by Goodwin Procter, Hunt & Gather, IBM, Lycos, Nixon Peabody LLP, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC. Media partners include boston.com, Mass High Tech and Technology Review.
