eMedicus is a Commercial Institutional Review Board (IRB) that provides professional reviews of clinical and non-clinical oncology research protocols. Its customers are pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, community-based physician practices and healthcare institutions that are not affiliated with a hospital-based institutional review board. eMedicus Institutional Review Board is comprised of highly qualified individuals with significant expertise and knowledge in the scientific, ethical, legal and regulatory aspects of clinical trials and clinical trials management. Using its internet-based system known as the "eIRB Process," eMedicus provides a secure, timely, thorough and regulatory compliant review for its customers. As a start-up, eMedicus required an online presence that would convey its leadership as an independent review board specializing in oncology pharmaceutical drug review, and create excitement over its innovative approach to the review board process through its internet based technology and best practices. Miller Systems' challenge was to create a website that would offer credibility to eMedicus' efforts and establish brand identity, while at the same time making it easy to navigate and locate information.
Miller Systems began the project by conducting a detailed discovery process with eMedicus to understand the company's overall goal for the site and its target message and audience. Initiating the creative design cycle with the development of a formal logo identity, Miller Systems produced design elements that conveyed eMedicus' unique business and marketing messages. Next, applying its scalable "beyond brochureware" approach, Miller Systems structured eMedicus' site content according to site visitors' and prospects' requirements and interests, directing them to relevant information quickly and easily, and thereby increasing opportunities to generate revenue.
Miller Systems produced and delivered eMedicus' new brand identity and online presence within budget and resource guidelines, successfully meeting audience specific design and content requirements.
