Sales and Marketing Specialist

Overview:

Sales & Marketing Specialist
Miller Systems is currently seeking candidates for a Sales & Marketing Specialist. This full-time employee will work in a fast paced environment to help support the company's marketing, sales, and business development programs. The position is at or near the entry-level, ideal for a recent college graduate (1-3 years post-grad) with a background and/or interest in interactive/web development and a passion for the marketing and business development end of internet and technical services.

Major Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Review, qualify and respond to prospect request for proposals (RFPs).
  • Qualify inbound web and telephone sales leads
  • Research target prospects and corresponding markets for RFPs and/or sales outreach
  • Manage outbound email campaigns, including database management and maintenance
  • Assist with public relations efforts
  • Maintain sales contact database
  • Assist with website content updates
  • Work with strategic software partners on sales & marketing campaigns
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated, outgoing, organized, creative, intelligent, articulate and able to work both effectively independently and in teams.

Excellent interpersonal, writing, editing, and time management skills are essential. Educational background in English, Journalism, or business writing preferred. Experience or exposure to web development technologies and/or processes welcomed, and candidates need to be sincerely interested in the space in order to be seriously considered for the position.

The Sales & Marketing Specialist must be familiar with standard business software (Microsoft Office) and not be afraid to learn how to use new tools. Experience working with CRM or Sales Force Automation tools (like Salesforce.com or similar) are a major plus.

Marketing, Sales & Business Development Intern

Overview:

Miller Systems is currently seeking candidates for a Marketing, Sales & Business Development Intern. This full or part-time employee will work in a fast paced environment contributing to the company's marketing, sales, and business development programs for the Web Development, IT Services, and dataDriver divisions. The summer internship is entry-level and is ideal for a college senior/recent graduate with a background or interest in the marketing and business development of internet and technical services.

Job responsibilities include managing the business development database from a variety of lead sources, working with the Director of Business Development to craft sales and marketing campaigns, and supporting the tactical implementation of these campaigns, along with other activities to further the growth of Miller Systems.

Major Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, creative, intelligent, and able to work effectively independently and in teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, editing, and time management skills are essential.
  • The intern must be familiar with standard business software (Microsoft Office), have a better-than-average understanding of the Web and IT services industries, and be enthusiastic about learning anything that is unfamiliar. Knowledge of ACT! a plus, but not required.
